Silfab Solar

SilFab Solar, headquartered in Padua, Italy was founded in 2007 by Franco Traverso, an Italian solar energy pioneer with 30 years of experience in the solar industry. The company is a leading Tier I vertically-integrated international company designing and manufacturing products and systems for the entire PV supply chain. It's primary partners read like a Who's Who in the global photovoltaic business - Pan Asia Solar, Ltd, whose founders formed some of the most successful PV companies in the world, and Sino-American Silicon Product, Inc., a world provider of high quality silicon wafers since 1981.

Silfab Solar opened a 180 megawatt solar panel manufacturing plant in Ontario, Canada to service the North American Market. The company also expanded into the U.S. market via a joint venture with REgeneration Finance, LLC, a solar project developer with offices in Harrison, NY and San Francisco. Silfab, which has over 60MW of utility scale projects under development in southern European markets will be investing an unspecified sum to finance commercial and utility-scale solar projects. According to Silfab, the joint venture will ultimately own these projects.
