SolarWorld is exclusively dedicated to the development and production of solar energy; And, has integrated all of the components of the solar chain, from silicon (raw material) to solar module production. In combining the most important stages of the photovoltaic value chain the company is able to maintain very high quality and environmental standards at every stage. The company has factories in the United State and in Germany and a sales force in all of the world's solar markets.

SolarWorld's U.S. headquarters is in Hillsboro, OR, where the company operates the equivalent of four production plants on a 103-acre campus. SolarWorld is the largest solar panel manufacturer in the U.S. The Hillsboro plant services the U.S., Canada and Latin America.
